Company Owner - Lee Taylor |
|
Having caught the Motorsport bug at the age of 8 after
a trip to the British Grand Prix in 1989, Lee took part in his first steps as a
racing driver when he took part in his first kart race at the age of 9 at the
Three Sisters Race Circuit.
Through the next few years Lee would
regularly take part in the British Super One Championships in the Cadet Class
before moving up the to the Junior Intercontinental 'A' class in 1994. Lee
would then continue to practice and hone his race skills in Karting until 1999
when Lee would move up to race cars in Formula Ford.
After winning his first few races in the Northwest
Formula Ford 1600 winter series, Lee moved up to the Formula Renault
Championship in the 2000 winter series. In 2001 Lee continued to test with
various Formula Renault teams but was stuck with the common Motorsport problem,
a lack of race budget. Lee continued to take part in tests with Formula Renault
and British Touring Car Teams before Lee formed the Lee Taylor Worldwide Kart
Racing Team in 2004.
Having learned from his experiences with various
Kart and Car race teams Lee plans to build a professional race team to compete
at the British and European Karting Championship before expanding the teams to
compete in junior formulae of car racing in the next few years. |
